The state office of Travel and Tourism sent out a press release today announcing a new Massachusetts travel iPhone app. Not being an iPhone user, I can’t download it, but it’s free and might be a good resource for fellow road-trippers out there.
The Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) recently announced its “Ask a Local” iPhone application is now available on iTunes. This free, on-the-move guide provides travel information, “local” tips, and deals from Massachusetts hotels, attractions, restaurants, and shopping destinations. MOTT also recently launched its “MassFinds” blog on massvacation.com, featuring the state’s hidden gems and longtime favorites, as narrated by Massachusetts’ tourism mascot, MOTT the squirrel.
“The Ask A Local app serves as both a comprehensive directory and an interactive tool in traveling throughout the state,” said Betsy Wall, executive director of the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism. “It allows visitors to have Massachusetts right at their fingertips and the MassFinds blog complements our social presence.”
I didn’t realize we had a travel squirrel.
I’m going to check out the MassFinds blog closer to this weekend to see if they have any good suggestions.
